Bio
Hailing from the remote mining town of Broken Hill, Arthur Adamson was a unique acquisition for South Melbourne at the turn of the century. While most talents from the "Silver City" naturally gravitated towards the SANFL, Adamson headed east to the Lake Oval, where he immediately established himself as a reliable fixture in the lineup. A defensive-minded player who never troubled the scorers, he held down a spot in the back half and missed very few matches during his two-season tenure. His consistent form helped South reach the 1903 finals series, but his elite career concluded abruptly at the end of that season, leaving him as a brief but dependable figure in the club's history.
