Teams

Recruited from Prahran in the Victorian Football Association, Arthur Barlow was a serviceable follower who made his VFL debut for South Melbourne midway through the 1925 season. He quickly established himself as a regular in the senior side, playing 40 games for the club over four seasons during a challenging era at the Lake Oval. Unable to secure a long-term position, he crossed to Footscray during the 1928 season, where he added a further seven games to his career tally. Barlow played his final senior match in 1929, concluding his brief but consistent tenure at the top level before returning to local football.
