Stats
Bio
Recruited from local side Burnley, Arthur Birtles made a brief but efficient cameo for Richmond during the 1922 VFL season. Standing 178cm, he played as a forward and demonstrated an immediate ability to hit the scoreboard, averaging a goal a game across his five senior appearances. Despite this consistent output in front of the sticks, his time at Punt Road was restricted to just that single season, and he did not feature at the top level again after his short stint with the Tigers.
