Bio
Recruited from Seddon in Melbourne's inner-western suburbs, Arthur Franklin arrived at the Demons as a mature-age recruit during the roster instability of the Second World War. Standing 178cm, he was utilized as a forward option in his brief stint at the top level, managing to hit the scoreboard with two goals across his three senior appearances in the 1942 season. His time in the VFL was fleeting, largely serving to fill a gap during a period of significant player turnover for the club. Franklin’s life was tragically cut short when he passed away in 1953 at just 35 years of age.
