Recruited from Claremont with pick 43 in the 2021 National Draft, Arthur Jones arrived at the Western Bulldogs as a speedy small forward prospect from Western Australia. After spending his debut season developing his craft in the VFL, he broke into the senior side in 2023, injecting pace and defensive intensity into the Bulldogs' forward line. Jones quickly established a reputation for his infectious energy and ability to apply pressure on opposition defenders, though his offensive output remained modest during his initial exposure to AFL level. Despite becoming a popular figure among the playing group for his vibrant personality, he found it difficult to lock down a permanent position in the senior 22, spending significant time oscillating between the senior side and the state league as he worked to add consistency and finishing polish to his game.
