Bio
Recruited from University High School, Arthur Karanicolas was a diminutive rover and forward pocket who carved out a respected five-season career at North Melbourne. Standing just 171cm, he relied on his pace and sharp crumbing instincts to impact the scoreboard, most notably booting 23 goals in the 1965 season. A consistent selection during the mid-1960s, he provided spark and energy for the Kangaroos during a period where the club struggled to break into the finals. After leaving the VFL at the end of 1968, Karanicolas continued his football journey in the VFA with Prahran, where he played a key role as a forward in the Two Blues' famous 1970 premiership victory.
