Bio
Arriving at Melbourne in 1950 from McKinnon, Arthur Pound was initially heralded as one of the most exciting forward recruits the Demons had secured in years. He made an immediate impact inside 50, showcasing his potential by booting goals in each of his first six senior appearances and looking every bit the part of a long-term full-forward. Despite this promising start, his VFL career was abruptly cut short when he was surprisingly omitted from the list just prior to the 1951 season. Although he was subsequently cleared to Collingwood and later trained with Carlton, Pound never added to his seven senior games, eventually returning to the VFA to play for Brighton before finishing his career as a captain-coach in the Gippsland League.
