Bio
Recruited from the local Essendon Association (VFA) side, Artie Bowe was the younger brother of dual-premiership defender Len Bowe. He was granted a brief trial at the top level at the start of the 1909 season, debuting alongside his sibling in a Round 1 victory over St Kilda. However, after a loss to Melbourne the following week, Bowe was omitted from the senior side and did not feature at VFL level again. While his own career was short-lived, he remains a footnote in a successful era for the club, with his brother going on to become a key figure in the Bombers' back-to-back flags of 1911 and 1912.
