Stats
Bio
Recruited from Preston Juniors, Artie Harrison made a solitary senior appearance for Richmond in 1911 before crossing to Fitzroy, where he would secure his place in history. A reliable back pocket capable of locking down opposition forwards, Harrison broke into the Roys' lineup during the 1913 season and was a member of the premiership side that defeated St Kilda in that year's Grand Final. He played 19 games across two seasons at Brunswick Street, but his football journey was cut short when he enlisted for service in the Great War. Harrison's legacy remains twofold: as a premiership player for Fitzroy and as a soldier who made the ultimate sacrifice, killed in action at Bullecourt in 1917.
