Bio
Hailing from Albury in the Riverina, Artie Percy was one of many country recruits who ventured south to test their mettle in the VFL during the federation era. He joined South Melbourne for the 1904 season, stepping into a competitive lineup that was pushing towards the finals. Percy was given a brief opportunity to prove himself at the elite level, managing just two senior appearances in the red and white before falling out of favour. Unable to cement a permanent spot in the side, his league career was short-lived, and he eventually returned to his home town in New South Wales where he lived out the remainder of his days.
