Stats
Bio
Recruited from the club's under-19s program, Athas Hrysoulakis was a talented utility who struggled to command a regular senior berth during a competitive era for the Magpies. Possessing natural skill and goal sense, he drifted between the wing and half-forward, often showing glimpses of the flair required to succeed at the highest level. His career remains defined by a significant hard-luck story during the historic 1990 campaign; after playing nine games that season, including the drawn Qualifying Final against West Coast, he was omitted for the replay and subsequently missed out on the Grand Final side that broke the club's 32-year drought. Despite his contribution to the premiership season, he departed Victoria Park shortly after the triumph to continue his career in the VFA with Prahran.
