Bio
Selected by Collingwood as a Next Generation Academy graduate with pick 77 in the 2018 National Draft, Atu Bosenavulagi was a powerfully built utility with a background in rugby union. After managing just three senior games for the Magpies during the 2020 season, he was packaged into the high-profile trade that sent Jaidyn Stephenson to North Melbourne as Collingwood sought to relieve salary cap pressure. While initially drafted as a forward, Bosenavulagi spent the majority of his time at Arden Street playing as a small defender, looking to apply his natural speed and tackling aggression to opposition smalls. Despite receiving regular opportunities in 2021, he struggled to cement a consistent role in the Kangaroos' best 22 and was delisted at the conclusion of the 2022 season.
