Bio
Recruited from the Dandenong Stingrays with pick 35 in the 2018 National Draft, Bailey J. Williams arrived at West Coast as a raw but athletic forward-ruck prospect known for his prodigious vertical leap. While his early development was gradual, the long-term injury absence of Nic Naitanui thrust Williams into the primary ruck role, where he was often required to battle against more experienced and physically imposing opponents. He responded with commendable durability and growth, particularly during the Eagles' difficult 2023 season, where he shouldered the ruck load almost single-handedly to finish sixth in the John Worsfold Medal. Having solidified his place in the side, Williams has evolved into a mobile tall who uses his agility and follow-up work at ground level to compete in the midfield while offering a rotation option inside 50.
