Stats
Bio
Recruited from Swan Hill in the Mid-Murray Football League, Barrie Pigot was a solidly built utility who arrived at Fitzroy during the tenure of legendary coach Len Smith. Standing 184cm, Pigot possessed the height and frame to play key defensive roles or support the followers, making him a flexible option for the Lions' match committee. He showed immediate promise in his debut 1959 season, featuring in 12 matches, but found himself on the fringe of the squad during Fitzroy's surge to the Preliminary Final in 1960, managing just a single senior appearance that year. Pigot reclaimed a spot in the side the following season, adding another 10 games to his tally, but was unable to cement a permanent position and departed the VFL scene after the 1962 season.
