Bio
Hailing from Traralgon in the Latrobe Valley, Barry Archbold was a solidly built recruit who made a brief foray into VFL football with Carlton in the mid-1950s. He earned his senior debut late in the 1955 season, running out for the first time in a Round 16 clash against arch-rivals Collingwood at Princes Park. Archbold managed just one more appearance for the Blues that year before his top-level career concluded. Unable to cement a long-term position at Princes Park, he returned to Traralgon for the 1956 season, resuming his football journey in the country leagues.
