Bio
Recruited from East Melbourne YCW, Barry Donegan earned his opportunity at Victoria Park as a half-forward flanker, debuting in the opening round of the 1958 season. He played five matches during that premiership-winning year but struggled to retain his spot in a formidable Collingwood lineup, ultimately missing out on the club's famous Grand Final victory over Melbourne. Donegan added just two more senior appearances and a solitary career goal in 1959 before departing the VFL, remembered primarily as a fringe forward who briefly rotated through the squad during a golden era for the Magpies.
