Bio
Recruited from VFA powerhouse Geelong West, Barry Eddy was a diminutive defender who provided defensive depth for the Cats in the mid-1970s. A lightweight back pocket standing just 175cm, he broke into the senior side in 1974 but struggled to cement a permanent spot in the starting eighteen over his two seasons at Kardinia Park. His tenure at the club was highlighted by his role in the 1975 reserves premiership, where he lined up in defence for the Grand Final victory over Richmond. Following his stint in the VFL, he returned to the Roosters in 1976 to continue his career in the VFA.
