Bio
Recruited from Chelsea in the Mornington Peninsula Football League, Barry Goring was a defender who played a brief but concentrated stint with North Melbourne during the 1960 VFL season. He broke into the senior side for the opening round against St Kilda and retained his place in the backline for 12 consecutive matches, suggesting early promise as a reliable stopper. However, he lost his spot in the side following the Round 12 loss to Fitzroy and did not appear at the highest level again, concluding his VFL tenure as a one-season player before returning to suburban football.
