Stats
Bio
Recruited from Nhill in the Wimmera, Barry Knight was a towering ruck prospect who joined Fitzroy just as the club was settling into its new home at Princes Park. Standing 191cm—a genuine giant for the era—he offered a strong physical presence and the versatility to rest forward, managing to snag a goal in half of his senior appearances. Despite his height advantage, Knight found it difficult to break into the senior side consistently, playing two matches in his debut 1967 season and another pair in 1969 after spending the intervening year out of the ones. He finished his brief VFL stint with four games and two goals, unable to cement a permanent spot in the Lions' lineup before exiting the league.
