Bio
Recruited from the Moorabbin Juniors, Barry Teague was a diminutive rover and forward pocket who progressed through the Tigers' lower grades after arriving at the club in 1962. Standing just 170cm, Teague was known for his sharp goal sense and ability to crumb at the feet of the talls, but he found himself on the fringe of a Richmond side that was rapidly building toward a golden era under Tom Hafey. He managed just a single senior appearance in each of his three seasons on the list, effectively serving as a depth player while emerging stars like Kevin Bartlett and established rovers locked down the small man roles. Although he could not cement a spot in the senior 22, Teague tasted success at Punt Road as a member of the 1966 Reserves premiership team. He departed the club midway through the 1967 season to find greater opportunity with Port Melbourne in the VFA before later becoming a premiership player with Clarence in Tasmania.
