Bio
A dual-sport talent recruited from Shepparton, Barry Tippett was a diminutive rover and forward who also represented the Victorian Colts in cricket. He spent his first season developing in the Under 19s and Reserves before earning his senior debut in 1976, though he found it difficult to cement a permanent spot in the Demons' lineup. Tippett nearly left the club for Nathalia during the 1977 pre-season but opted to stay, eventually managing sporadic appearances across three seasons at the top level. Unable to secure a long-term future in the VFL, he was delisted prior to the 1979 season and continued his career in the country leagues with the Hamilton Imperials.
