Stats
Bio
Recruited from the Geelong Falcons with pick 56 in the 2008 National Draft, Ben Bucovaz was a strong-bodied forward capable of impacting the contest in the air and on the ground. After spending his initial season developing with East Fremantle in the WAFL, he earned a brief call-up to the senior side late in 2010, playing two consecutive matches including a debut against Carlton at Etihad Stadium. Despite showing promise as a junior with his versatility and contested marking, Bucovaz struggled to meet the rigorous conditioning demands required at the elite level and could not force his way back into the lineup during a startlingly improved 2011 season for the club. He was delisted by Fremantle at the conclusion of that year without adding to his career tally, eventually returning to Victoria to play at the state league level.
