Stats
Bio
Recruited from SANFL powerhouse Port Adelaide, Ben Harris joined the Brisbane Bears as a foundation pre-draft selection ahead of their inaugural 1987 VFL campaign. A sturdy key position player standing 188cm, he featured regularly during the club's debut season, booting six goals in ten appearances as the Bears worked to establish their list. However, Harris struggled to cement a permanent spot in the senior side over the subsequent years, adding just four more games to his tally between 1988 and early 1990. Seeking a return to regular senior football, he moved back to the Magpies midway through the 1990 season, a decision that resulted in silverware when he manned the fullback position in Port Adelaide's famous 1990 SANFL Grand Final victory over Glenelg.
