Bio
Recruited from East Brunswick, Bernie Trafford arrived at Hawthorn as the club was navigating its difficult early years in the VFL. He spent the bulk of the 1926 season in the reserves before breaking into the senior side for a debut against Richmond in Round 15, where he notably kicked a goal. However, Trafford was unable to hold his place in the struggling Mayblooms lineup, managing just three further appearances across two seasons. He was eventually cleared to VFA club Preston in 1928 but could not establish a senior career there.
