Stats
Bio
Bert Graf was a diminutive footballer who briefly represented Carlton as the league resumed full operations following the First World War. Recruited from Williamstown Juniors, the 165cm rover or forward pocket was handed his debut in the opening round of the 1919 season as the Blues looked to stabilise their playing list. He featured in back-to-back losses against traditional rivals Essendon and Collingwood, but struggled to impact the scoreboard or cement a permanent place in the rotation. Graf was omitted following the Round 2 defeat and did not appear at VFL level again, remaining one of many players whose top-level careers were fleeting during the transitional post-war era.
