Bio
Recruited from Wonthaggi, Albert "Snowy" Peters was a fair-haired schoolteacher who joined North Melbourne during a particularly bleak era for the club. He made his debut in the opening round of the 1930 season and played 17 games over two years, though he holds the unfortunate distinction of never featuring in a winning VFL side, with the Shinboners losing every match he contested. After departing the league, Peters became a respected figure in country football, captain-coaching Sorrento to a Grand Final in the Mornington Peninsula league. His career and life were cut short during World War II when, serving as a navigator with the RAAF, he was killed in action over the Bay of Biscay in 1944.
