Bio
Born in a Kenyan refugee camp before settling in Australia, Bigoa Nyuon emerged as an athletic prospect from the St Kilda Next Generation Academy before being swooped on by Richmond in the 2019 National Draft. Known affectionately as "Biggie," the 197cm utility developed primarily as an intercepting key defender who could also pinch-hit in the ruck, though he found it difficult to crack the Tigers' premiership-calibre backline, managing just one senior game in four seasons. In search of greater opportunities, he was traded to North Melbourne ahead of the 2024 season, where the Kangaroos hoped his vertical leap and versatility would add depth to their defence. Despite the fresh start, Nyuon struggled to cement a regular spot in the senior side, adding just three games to his tally before being delisted at the conclusion of the 2024 season.
