Bio
Recruited from the Railways Football Club, Bill Brodie was a fringe player who struggled to cement a regular spot in the North Melbourne lineup during the early 1930s. He made his debut in the second round of 1931 and managed five appearances that year, playing primarily in a defensive or utility role for a team anchored near the bottom of the ladder. After spending two full seasons out of senior selection, Brodie earned a solitary recall late in the 1934 season, featuring in a heartbreaking two-point loss to Carlton. He departed the VFL without a win from his six career games and later moved to the Sunraysia region, where he coached South Mildura in the 1950s.
