Bio
Recruited from the local amateur ranks at East Brunswick, Bunworth arrived at Fitzroy during a lean period for the club in the late 1930s. Standing 183cm, he was a solid utility player capable of pinch-hitting in the ruck or drifting into the forward line to provide a marking target. While he showed glimpses of potential—including a three-goal haul against Hawthorn in 1938—he struggled to cement a permanent position in the senior side. Bunworth managed 18 games across two seasons for the Maroons before departing the VFL scene.
