Recruited from Geelong College, Bill Cook was a productive forward who made the most of his opportunities during a three-season stint at Kardinia Park. He debuted in 1958 and quickly demonstrated an eye for the goals, booting 35 majors in just 25 games, with his most consistent football coming in the 1959 season where he was a regular fixture in the attacking half. Playing alongside club icons such as Bob Davis and a young Bill Goggin, Cook provided a reliable scoring option before drifting out of the senior side at the end of 1960.
