Stats
Bio
Recruited from South Bendigo, Bill Ewing was a towering key position prospect who briefly graced Windy Hill during the 1933 season. Standing at an imposing 191cm, he was exceptionally tall for the era and operated as a massive target at both full-forward and centre half-forward. After debuting in a heavy loss to Geelong, he spent mid-season out of the side before earning a recall for a month of football later in the year, showing glimpses of his potential by booting three goals against South Melbourne at the Lake Oval. However, his stint in the VFL was short-lived; Ewing returned to the country after just five senior games to continue his career with South Bendigo, eventually settling into life as a butcher in his hometown.
