Bio
Recruited from Beechworth in country Victoria, Bill Fahey arrived at South Melbourne during the club's formative VFL years. Born in Dandenong, he earned his selection midway through the 1902 season, breaking into a side that was looking to improve its standing on the ladder. Fahey featured in just three senior matches for the red and white, but he managed to make his presence felt by booting a goal during his brief exposure to the top level. His VFL career concluded after that solitary season, serving as a short but recorded chapter in South Melbourne's history before he eventually settled in the Wonthaggi region.
