Recruited from local side South Melbourne Districts, Bill Fallon was a mid-sized utility who earned a brief run in the VFL during the 1959 season. Standing 179cm, he broke into the South Melbourne senior lineup in Round 13, stringing together three consecutive matches as the club searched for depth to support eventual Brownlow Medallist Bob Skilton. Fallon's career at the elite level was short-lived, as he was unable to command a regular spot in the 18 and drifted out of the side after Round 15. He remains one of the many local footballers who managed a fleeting taste of League football for the Swans before fading from the VFL landscape.
