Bio
Recruited from the formidable local Ashby club, Bill Getsom was a homegrown talent who earned his opportunity with Geelong during the 1906 VFL season. A forward option capable of hitting the scoreboard, he managed to boot two goals during his brief stint at Corio Oval, appearing in five senior matches across two years. While his time at the elite level was limited as the Pivotonians looked to stabilise their lineup in the middle of the ladder, Getsom remained a lifelong resident of the Geelong area, representing the deep connection between the club and its local feeder leagues.
