Bio
Recruited from Sale in the Latrobe Valley, Bill Gerrand arrived at Moorabbin as St Kilda was beginning to assemble the nucleus of its successful mid-1960s squad. A rover who could rotate forward, he broke into the senior side for the opening round of the 1963 season against Melbourne, retaining his spot for the following week. Despite managing to hit the scoreboard during his brief exposure to VFL football, Gerrand found opportunities limited in a developing team and added just one further appearance in Round 4 before departing the club at the end of the year.
