Bio
Recruited from the Hawthorn reserves, Bill Miller was a versatile medium-sized forward who became a regular fixture in the Geelong lineup during the early 1960s. Standing 180cm, he played his best football in 1962, booting 16 goals and featuring in the Cats' finals campaign that ended with a Preliminary Final loss to Carlton. Despite that strong showing, he found himself on the fringe during the club's historic 1963 premiership season, managing just a single senior appearance in the infamous "Miracle Match" upset loss to Fitzroy. Miller ultimately missed out on the Grand Final side that broke the club's premiership drought, finishing his VFL career as a serviceable contributor who was unlucky to miss the ultimate team success.
