Bio
Originally hailing from Geelong West, Bill Moodie began his brief VFL tenure away from home with South Melbourne in the 1900 season. He managed five senior appearances in the city without hitting the scoreboard before securing a clearance to return to his native Geelong for the 1901 campaign. The move back to the Corio Bay area immediately unlocked his attacking potential, with the forward booting six goals in just four games for the Pivotonians to finish with a high strike rate. Despite this promising burst of form in his second year, his league career concluded at the end of the season, leaving him as a momentary but effective goal-kicker for his hometown club before his premature death in Geelong at the age of 38.
