Stats
Bio
Recruited from Maryborough, Bill Nalder was a ruckman who faced the difficult task of breaking into a powerhouse Richmond lineup during the Tom Hafey era. Competing for opportunities against established big men like Brian Roberts and Michael Green, he played the majority of his senior football in his debut 1972 season, a run that culminated in an appearance in the high-scoring Grand Final loss to Carlton where he contributed two goals. Nalder managed only three games the following year, missing out on the Tigers' 1973 premiership success, and eventually crossed to North Melbourne where he did not add to his senior game tally.
