Stats
Bio
Recruited from Noble Park, Bill Norman was a key-position sized utility who earned a brief trial with Hawthorn during the middle of the 1950 season. Standing 183cm, he possessed the frame to compete in the air and broke into the senior lineup for a block of five consecutive matches between Rounds 7 and 11. He stepped into a Hawthorn side that was struggling mightily for on-field success, and despite the opportunity, he was unable to cement a permanent spot in the defensive or forward rotations. Norman departed the VFL at the conclusion of that solitary season, transferring to Moorabbin in the VFA for the start of 1951 before returning to Noble Park later that year to continue his career in local football.
