Bio
Hailing from Mansfield in Victoria's high country, Bill Reardon was a sturdy utility who joined Footscray in 1950 after catching the eye of metropolitan recruiters. Standing 183cm, he offered a physical presence and enjoyed a solid debut season with 13 games, showing glimpses of the talent that made him a standout in regional football. However, he struggled to cement a permanent spot in the starting 18 over the following two years, drifting to the fringe of selection before effectively returning to the country in 1952, where he managed just one final senior VFL appearance. While his league career was brief, Reardon became a celebrated figure in the Waranga North East Football Association, enjoying a long and decorated tenure as a premiership player and coach with Mansfield and Bonnie Doon.
