Bio
Bill Turner's brief VFL career was defined by a solitary three-week cameo for a strong Fitzroy outfit in the mid-1920s. Joining the Maroons as a 22-year-old, he faced the difficult task of breaking into a formidable lineup that would eventually finish third on the ladder. Turner earned his debut in a Round 8 victory over Collingwood at Victoria Park and held his spot for the subsequent clashes against Carlton and South Melbourne. He managed to boot his only career goal during the heavy loss to the Blues at Princes Park, but after the side suffered consecutive defeats, he was omitted from the eighteen and did not feature at the top level again.
