Billy Frederick Green

Recruited from Prahran Districts, Billy Green made a sharp but brief impact at Junction Oval as a goal-kicking forward during the early 1930s. He burst onto the senior scene late in the 1932 season, instantly hitting the scoreboard with two goals on debut against Geelong and maintaining a scoring streak across his first four VFL matches. Standing 175cm, Green proved a lively option inside 50, notably booting a career-high three majors against Footscray in just his third appearance. Despite this promising introduction, he managed only two more senior games in 1933 before his top-level career concluded, leaving the Saints with a tidy return of nine goals from six outings.
