Bio
Recruited from Woodlands—the same local club that produced triple Brownlow Medallist Dick Reynolds—Billy Hall was a wingman who struggled to cement a permanent spot in a strong Essendon lineup. After managing just over a dozen games across four seasons at Windy Hill, Hall crossed to the VFA, where he became a consistent performer for Coburg during the late 1930s. He returned to the VFL system during the chaotic, war-torn 1942 season, playing a solitary match for the Bombers before making a mid-year switch to Fitzroy. His time with the Gorillas was brief, yielding just two appearances before military service and a post-war return to Coburg effectively closed the book on his top-level career.
