Bio
Arriving at East Melbourne with a premiership pedigree from the VFA, Billy Harrison was recruited from West Melbourne following their 1906 flag triumph. He operated primarily as a follower and defender, playing with a versatility that allowed him to impact contests both in the ruck and behind the ball. His consistent presence in the follower division earned him the quirky moniker "Brigham"—a play on the Mormon leader Brigham Young—and he became a reliable contributor for Essendon throughout his first two seasons. His most prominent performance in front of goal came against Geelong in 1910, where he booted four majors in a narrow defeat. Unable to retain his spot in the senior side during the 1911 season, Harrison played just one final game before being cleared to Northcote.
