Bio
Recruited from South Yarra, Billy Anderson was a depth player for St Kilda during the club's surge toward the top of the ladder in the pre-war era. He arrived at the Junction Oval in 1912 and proved to be a capable option in the forward half, managing to hit the scoreboard three times across his ten senior appearances. Anderson's tenure coincided with the Saints' historic 1913 campaign where the club reached its first-ever VFL Grand Final, but the strengthening squad made regular selection difficult, and he was ultimately unable to force his way into the side for the premiership decider against Fitzroy. He departed the league following that season, remaining a footnote in the history of St Kilda's first genuine premiership assault.
