Bio
Recruited from the short-lived VFA side Melbourne City, Billy Quinn was a tall half-back who played a solitary season for the Demons in 1914. Standing 182cm, he offered significant height in defence for the era and managed 11 senior appearances, booting two goals. Despite showing promise, his VFL career was cut short when he crossed to Prahran early in the 1915 season, eventually resuming his tenure there after the First World War. Quinn later extended his VFA career with stints at Sandringham and Brighton, while his family connection to the top level continued through his son, Roy, who played for Richmond and North Melbourne in the 1940s.
