Bio
Arriving from the goldfields town of Eaglehawk, Billy Williams brought a touch of political pedigree to the Junction Oval as the son of Henry Roberts Williams, the local MLA and former Victorian Minister for Railways. He was recruited from the Mines Rovers and made his debut for St Kilda during the 1907 season, a bleak period for the club that saw them finish the year without a single premiership point. Despite the team's hapless performance, the 19-year-old showed some aptitude near goal, booting four majors across his seven appearances in the red, white, and black. His tenure at the top level was short-lived, however, as he departed the VFL landscape after just one difficult campaign.
