Bio
Recruited from the local Fitzroy Juniors, Billy Wilson faced the difficult task of breaking into a powerhouse Maroon lineup during the club's golden era. He made his senior debut in Round 6 of the 1913 season but could not displace the established stars in a year that saw Fitzroy claim the premiership, managing just that solitary appearance. Wilson found more opportunities in 1914, featuring eight times as a forward, but he struggled to impact the scoreboard consistently or cement a permanent place in the 22. Unable to secure a long-term VFL career, he transferred to Northcote in 1915, where he became a solid contributor and regular goalkicker in the VFA.
