Bio
Recruited from local club Parkside in the Footscray District League, Bob Barr was a lightly framed utility who broke into the VFL ranks as a teenager. He arrived at the Western Oval during a competitive era for the club, making his debut in the 1964 season where Footscray pushed deep into the finals series. Standing 179cm, Barr was typically deployed as a flanker or rotating small, but he struggled to cement a regular spot in the senior lineup over his two seasons at the top level. After managing just seven appearances and a solitary goal between 1964 and 1965, he departed the VFL system, remaining a minor figure in the Bulldogs' mid-60s history.
