Bio
Recruited from Moonee Ponds YCW after serving with the RAAF in World War II, Bob Bradley was a deceptive winger who became a key component of Dick Reynolds' formidable Essendon lineup. Despite an unhurried gait that often misled opponents, Bradley was a consistent performer who rarely lost a contest for pace. His brief VFL career was defined by high stakes, featuring in losing Grand Finals in 1947 and 1948 before finally securing a premiership medallion in the Bombers' 1949 triumph. Cruelly denied a chance at a second flag by a dislocated shoulder on the eve of the 1950 finals series, he left the top level the following year to play for Traralgon and later captain-coached Camberwell in the VFA.
